Hot Restaurants Eighth & Grand
The latest heat map from Eater, a dining blog about Los Angeles features 6 restaurants in DTLA.
Here’s what Eater has to say about the restaurants within walking distance to our DTLA Apartments:
Otium is the grand new project by former French Laundry chef de cuisine Timothy Hollingsworth. Nestled next to the fantastic new Broad Museum, it's an incredibly designed masterwork throughout. The fare is approachable, but polished, evincing Hollingsworth's vision for refined dining through a more casual lens.
This Manhattan Beach restaurant has a new sibling in Downtown L.A., with polished Asian cooking in the heart of Financial District. Chef Tin Vuong has essentially channeled the same decor and menu, which works great on the corner of 7th and Grand.
Arts District Brewing
213 Hospitality has finally opened their craft beer spot, with Pizza Port's former brewmaster creating all the brews on site. Try a pint or two and pair with chef Neal Fraser's hot dog selection from Fritzi Dog.
Neal Fraser's doing comfort fare as a counterpoint to his more composed Redbird. Placed inside the heart of Arts District, this is one of the most talked-about restaurants in DTLA right now. Try the burger.
This Italian meat-based restaurant has a strong grill program offering steaks, fish, and more to a swanky, wealthy-looking clientele. The risottos and rustic Italian grains that come on the side might even be better than the mains. One of the few places in DTLA where you won't feel out of place in a power suit.
The Downtown Los Angeles area is full of exciting new locations and Apartments in DTLA are the place to be if you want to be a part of that action. Eighth and Grand Apartments are walking distance to these restaurants and much much more. Schedule an appointment with us today!
